Phaser is Oxford's independent, student-run music and style magazine.
Phaser is a termly student-run music and style magazine at the University of Oxford with a print run of 500. Trinity (Summer) Term 2016's issue includes opinion pieces, album reviews, reportage and interviews.
As director of design it was my job to make Phaser stand out from Oxford's other student publications. Some try to look artistic and come across as impenetrable. Some try to look home-made and come across as unprofessional. Others try to look professional but come across as boring. Phaser needed a sense of style, but, as a relatively new publication, also needed a sense of purpose.
